Washington, DC –Today, Congressman Fields celebrates a major win for American consumers as a federal judge ruled to temporarily block President Trump’s attempt to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Congressman Fields, along with more than 200 of his colleagues, proudly defended the rights of consumers by filing an amicus brief defending the CFPB and standing against executive overreach by the Trump administration.
Washington, DC – Today, attorneys for the State of Louisiana and intervening Black voters made it clear to the highest court in the land that the drawing of Louisiana’s sixth congressional district is constitutional.
Both the Middle District and the Fifth Circuit Court ruled that Louisiana should have two majority minority districts. The current map complies with this ruling, ensuring that Louisiana’s Black residents are able to receive proper representation in Congress.

The bill would require the Federal Reserve to examine theimpact that tariffs have on inflation faced by consumers and small businesses.
