CONGRESS TO THE CLASSROOM
Congress to the Classroom is an educational outreach initiative designed to bring Congress directly into Louisiana's Sixth Congressional District classrooms, connecting students of all ages (K-College) with the importance of education, civic responsibility, and public service.
Through this initiative, Congressman Fields will visit schools throughout our district, engaging students in meaningful conversations about leadership, government, and their role in shaping the future.
Why Congress to the Classroom Matters
Education is the foundation of opportunity--and civic engagement ensures that opportunity is protected.
Congress to the Classroom was created to:
- Strengthen early civic participation and leadership development
- Connect classroom learning to real-world policy and decision-making
- Reinforce the importance of education as a lifelong investment
By meeting students where they are, this initiative bridges the gap between government and the classroom.
