Congressman Cleo Fields Applauds $8 Million NSF Funding Awarded to Louisiana Institutions

Baton Rouge, LA – Congressman Cleo Fields celebrates the U.S. National Science Foundation’s E-Core program awarding approximately $8 million to the Louisiana Board of Regents over a multi-year period. This award is in collaboration with Southern University and A&M College, Louisiana State University and A&M College, Louisiana Tech University, and the University of New Orleans. This significant funding will strengthen STEM research capacity in Louisiana, advancing the state’s position as a leader in higher education and scientific discovery.

“As a staunch supporter of education and our state’s esteemed institutions of higher learning, I am very excited to see this investment in our universities,” stated Congressman Fields. “This funding grants us the opportunity to conduct groundbreaking research, create opportunities for our students, and strengthen Louisiana’s economy.”
